Educational Objectives

Nowruz Foundation has identified two core educational objectives as central focus of its educational mission .

It is our belief that in the complex struggle for nonviolence and democracy, it is a far more effective method to educate large numbers of people with two easily understood ideas as opposed to educating a minority of the population with more complex ideas and concepts.

It is important to note that our educational objectives are not limited to these two concepts and we hope to continuously challenge the forefront of thought on nonviolence, democracy and human rights through conferences, seminars, articles and forums while at the same time, continuously repeating and reminding our audiences of the importance and relevance of our two core educational objectives.

Please take a moment to read these two statements.  The first objective on the philosophy of nonviolence in Nowruz may seem simple, straightforward and easily understood by vast numbers of ordinary Iranians who have each experienced the yearly revival of societal kindness and love on Nowruz.  Yet we assure you that the more you delve into and study this rather seemingly simple concept, the deeper and more complex you will find it while noticing its potential for societal, cultural and political change as more significant.

The second educational objective called "Principle Based Leadership" may seem complex and abstract, but we assure you that as you understand this seemingly complex concept, you will find it simple, straightforward, extremely practical yet powerful tool for societal, cultural and political change.

We also hope that as you read and learn these two objectives, you will pass on their message to friends and family and will help educate ordinary Iranian-Americans and Iranians worldwide on these two important tools for this generation's struggle for nonviolence and democracy. 

Educational Objective #1:

It is hereby recognized that an educational objective of Nowruz Foundation is to promote, encourage and uphold the philosophy of love, kindness and humanity as fundemental pillars of nonviolence and methods of nonviolent struggle.  

It is hereby understood that nonviolence is most effective when it is widely known and practiced within a culture and adopted by a movement.

It is the belief of the Nowruz Foundation that within the Iranian  culture, the celebration of Nowruz is one of the most significant and well known Iranian symbolic acts of nonviolence promoting societal love, kindess and humanity in Iranian culture.

It is the belief of Nowruz Foundation that the movement for democracy in Iran is a movement inspired by the principles of nonviolence and thus the philosophy of love, kindness and humanity must be an important pillar of the movement.  Thus the celebration of Nowruz and all other celebrations of Iranian culture and heritage which base their philosophy, ritual and practice on nonviolence are thus to be promoted, encouraged and upheld as educational and practical tools civil disobedience and nonviolence for the Iranian struggle for democracy.

Educational Objective #2:

It is hereby an educational objective of Nowruz Foundation to promote "Principle Based Leadership" in the Iranian struggle for nonviolence and democracy. 

The goal of this form of leadership is to encouage and educate individuals in allowing the principles of nonviolence, democracy and human rights  to lead and guide them in their struggle.  In this model of leadership, no single leader or political party can arise to lead a movement, but thousands and tens of thousands of indivuals are encouraged to each adopt principles of nonviolence as guidance for their institutions and organizations. 

Individuals led by their  principles are encouraged to educate others on  "Principle Based Leadership" and to help guide the movement  through decisions and activies that are in accordance with the principles of nonviolence, democracy and human rights.

It is the belief of Nowruz Foundation that the movement for democracy in Iran is a movement based on pillars of nonviolence, democracy and human rights and "Principle Based Leadership" is a necessary and important model for the leadership of the movement.    

اهداف آموزشی

بنیاد نوروز دو اصل آموزشی را به عنوان اهداف اساسی خود شناسائی نموده . 

لطفن به این دو هدف آموزشی توجه کنید. هدف اول بر فلسفه خشونت پرهیزی در نوروز متکی است. بسیاری از ایرانیان، که در زنده نگه داشتن مراسم سالانه ی نوروزی، مهربانی و عشق ورزیدن به اجتماع را تجربه کرده اند، درک این هدف را بسیار ساده، راحت و آسان می یابند. اما به طور یقین، هرچه فلسفه خشونت پرهیزی در نوروز را بیشتر مورد مطالعه قرار دهید، بر خلاف مفهوم ظاهرن ساده اش، آن را بسیار عمیق تر و پیچیده تر خواهید یافت. و مادامی که با توانائی های بالقوه آن برای تغییرات اجتماعی، فرهنگی و سیاسی آشنا شوید، به اهمیت فلسفه ی خشونت پرهیزی در نوروز  بیشتر پی خواهید برد.

هدف آموزشی دوم که "رهبریت بر اساس اصول" خوانده شده، ممکن است تا حدودی پیچیده و انتزاعی به نظر آید. اما مطمئن باشید به محض آن که این مفهوم ظاهرن پیچیده را درک کنید، آن را به عنوان ابزاری بی نهایت عملی، ساده و قدرتمند برای تغییر اجتماعی، فرهنگی و سیاسی خواهید یافت.

ما معتقدیم که در مبارزه ای پیچیده برای خشونت پرهیزی و دمکراسی، به خلاف آموزش ایدها و مفاهیم بغرنج به جمعتی اندک، آموختن دو اصلی که برای تعداد کثیری از مردم به سادگی قبل درک باشد، روش بسیار موثرتری خواهد بود.

در نظر داشته باشید که اهداف آموزشی ی ما منحصر به این دو مفهوم نیست. همزمان با تکرار و یادآوری ی اهمیت این دو هدف آموزشی به مخاطبان خود، امیدواریم بتوانیم از طریق کنفرانس ها، سمینارها، مقالات و اتاق های بحث، پیچیده ترین مفاهیم مربوط به  خشونت پرهیزی، دمکراسی و حقوق بشر را بطور مستمر مورد مطالعه و ارزیابی قرار دهیم.

 ما امیدواریم شما که با  این دو هدف آموزشی آشنا شده و آنان را آموخته اید، پیام مندرج در این اهداف را از طریق دوستان و خانواده های خود به ایرانیان سراسر جهان منتقل نموده و آنها را به عنوان دو وسیله مهم مبارزه به نسلی که برای خشونت پرهیزی و مردمسالاری به پا خواسته بیآموزانید.

هدف آموزشی # 1:

یکی از اهداف آموزشی ی بنیاد نوروز، ترویج، تشویق و حمایت فلسفه عشق، مهربانی و انسانیت به عنوان ارکان اساسی ی فرهنگ خشونت پرهیزی و روش های مبارزه بدون خشونت است.

همچنین روشن است هنگامی که  فلسفه خشونت پرهیزی در میان مردم یک جامعه بطرز گسترده شناخته، تمرین و با جنبشی سازوار شود، به بالاترین حد کارایی خود خواهد رسید.

بنیاد نوروز بر این باور است که جشن نوروز در میان فرهنگ ایرانیان یکی از مهمترین و شناخته شده ترین نماد خشونت پرهیزی در فرهنگ  ایرانی است که به عنوان عشق، مهربانی و انسانیت اجتماعی عمل می کند.

به باور بنیاد نوروز، جنبش برای مردم سالاری در ایران جنبشی الهام گرفته از اصول خشونت پرهیزی است و بدین ترتیب فلسفه عشق، محبت و انسانیت باید ارکان مهم این جنبش باشند. از این روی  بنیاد نوروز جشن نوروز و تمام دیگر جشن های فرهنگی و میراث ایرانیان که بر اساس فلسفه خشونت پرهیزی شکل گرفته اند را به عنوان ابزار مبارزه بی خشونت و نافرمانی مدنی برای رسیدن به دمکراسی  ترویج، تشویق و حمایت می کند.

هدف آموزشی # 2:

یکی از اهداف بنیاد نوروز ترویج "رهبریت بر اساس اصول" در مبارزه ایرانیان برای خشونت پرهیزی و مردمسالاری است.

هدف چنین شکلی از رهبریت، آموزش دادن و تشویق مردم در کاربرد اصول خشونت پرهیزی، مردم سالاری و حقوق بشر است تا در راه مبارزه، هادی جنبش باشند. بنابر این، تنها یک فرد به عنوان رهبر، یا فقط یک حزب سیاسی نمی تواند از جای برخیزد و جنبش را هدایت کند، بلکه هزاران تن از افراد تشویق می شوند تا با تکیه بر اصول، اهداف  نهادها و سازمانهایشان را پیش ببرند.

بنیاد نوروز می کوشد  افرادی را که با  "رهبریت بر اساس اصول" آشنا شده اند، تشویق کند تا سایرین را در این راه آموزش دهند.

بنیاد نوروز بر این باور است که جنبش برای مردم سالاری در ایران جنبشی بر اساس ارکان خشونت پرهیزی، مردمسالاری و حقوق بشر است و بدین ترتیب "رهبریت بر اساس اصول"  را به عنوان مدلی لازم و مهم برای هدایت جنبش می شناسد.
